40m conditions were finally just right to allow signal reports across the Atlantic from England to USA testing out the 2-element vertical antenna array. In the main, the numbers stack up and I am seeing predicted at least 5dB of gain receiving signal reports of 9 plus 10 on the Eastern seaboard. This is the sort of experiment we need to run at night when 40m opens to USA, ideally midnight my time.
AFter this build, we’ll move on to the 4 element “Flamethrower” and also the triangular array.
